The Elementary School (Pre K-5) is based on individualized and small group instruction in self-contained classrooms with the belief that children learn and construct meaning through past experiences, interests and prior knowledge. An integrated, interdisciplinary, standardsbased curriculum provides the elementary students with a strong educational foundation that leads to college preparatory courses in the high school. As an academic preparatory school, the school's goal is to help children learn to be inquirers, thinkers, communicators, risk-takers, knowledgeable, principled, caring, open-minded and reflective.

The elementary school academic program builds on Math, English, Science, and Social Studies as the core of curriculum. Critical thinking and cooperative learning are nurtured and reinforced throughout the curriculum. The program aims to provide students with a balanced education that includes academic, social and emotional development. Students are encouraged to explore, question and investigate in all disciplines. Instruction embraces best teaching practices to ensure student engagement and progress in all areas of the curriculum.
Beyond the core curriculum, students receive instruction in music, art, information technology, drama, world languages, and physical education. These classes contribute to an inclusive education that ensures the growth and development of capable, informed individuals.
