Academic Program

High School

Students in the high school (Grades 9-12) follow a college preparatory course of study that provides a well-rounded introduction to the arts and sciences. One half credit is awarded for each course at the end of each Semester if the grade is 60 percent (D-) or higher. When there is failure in a course, no credit is awarded. Credit may also be denied based on a lack of attendance (See Attendance Policy). Twenty-six credits are required for graduation. Additionally, the Advanced Placement (AP) program (for students in Grades 11 & 12) allows students an opportunity to engage in college level course work.

Students in Grades 9-12 with outstanding scholastic records are considered for National Honor Society membership. The faculty selects members on the basis of scholarship, leadership, character and service and the criteria set forth by the National Honors Society.
